Volunteer

We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic people that can tackle some of the items on our TODO list.

All jobs are voluntary. Minimum age for any volunteer work with Computer Angels is 16 years with no upper limit. Email and let us know which activity you are applying for and why you would be the best candidate. If you would like further information please do not hesitate to contact us.

Specific projects

• Catalogue and research donated scanners to work with the Computer Angels distribution
• Catalogue and research low and medium cost inkjet printers to work with the Computer Angels distribution
• Catalogue and research digital cameras to work with the Computer Angels distribution
• Prepare training materials (Gnumeric, GIMP)
• Conduct training sessions (AbiWord, Gnumeric, GIMP)
• Service big in-house printer

We would like anyone who wishes to become involved as a volunteer to:

• Be competent in the use of computers, and have some knowledge of open-source and free software especially Linux.
• Have the ability to communicate well in writing and orally, to meet deadlines and to work as a member of a team.
• Facilitate comprehensive hand over to a successor.
• Have some knowledge or be willing to learn the structure, function and organisation of Computer Angels.
